From the founder
I founded Kester Black over a decade ago, and for most of that time I personally handled our most complex customer queries.
That experience gave me something most product developers do not have: a direct, unfiltered view of what customers are actually struggling with, and what the existing products are failing to address. I spent years researching the science behind nail health, reading through our customer service history, and working with manufacturers to understand what was technically possible.
What I kept coming back to was this: nail health is not cosmetic. For a lot of people, particularly as they get older, the condition of their nails affects how they grip things, how confident they feel, and how much they can participate in everyday tasks. It matters. And there was nobody in the market treating it with the seriousness it deserved.
That is why we refocused the brand entirely around nail care. Not nail colour. Nail care that makes a difference.
