Shipping & returns FAQs

This website ships to all of our lovely Australian customers, as well as the international destinations listed below. All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Melbourne, Australia.

International destinations we currently ship to include: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.

*Please note we are currently unable to ship to Canada.

If you are purchasing from outside Australia or New Zealand you are responsible for any import duties and tax which may be incurred as part of your delivery.

Orders placed Monday - Friday are shipped within one business day. Orders placed on weekends are shipped the following Monday.

On an ordinary operating day, orders placed before 12pm Melbourne time will be despatched the same day (i.e. handed over to our courier that afternoon).

Please note that during peak periods, around Victorian public holidays, or when we are running a promotion, these timelines are likely to extend.

Standard: Flat rate of $6.00, typically 2-8 business days*

Express: Flat rate of $12.50, typically 1-4 business days*

We ship orders within Australia via Australia Post (but no actual ‘ships’ were involved in this delivery unless you're in Tasmania) at a flat rate of $6.00 for standard shipping and $12.00 for express shipping, including tracking. This price is standard for all orders, irrespective of size.

During normal operations, our carriers have an estimated delivery time frame of 2-5 business days for standard services.

Please note orders during peak sale periods could take up to 10 days to dispatch.

We ship orders to New Zealand using NZ Post at a flat rate of $7.00, including tracking. This price is standard for all orders, irrespective of size.

Once orders are handed over, standard delivery time is within 2-5 business day, but please note we cannot guarantee this.

We will email you a tracking number once your order is dispatched. Didn’t receive a tracking code? Email us at hello@kesterblack.com and we shall rectify ASAP!

All products are scanned to check at both order picking and order packing stages. In the unlikely event that there is an issue with your order, you must contact us within 48 hours of receiving the parcel so we can review our systems to identify and rectify any issue. Please get in touch via email to hello@kesterblack.com and we'll get back to you ASAP!

We ship from our warehouse in Melbourne. Please be aware that in some cases, returns may need to be sent to an address in Australia.

We’re totally in love with our products and we want you to be too. We offer 30-day returns (from the date you receive your order) for all products excluding nail polish colours, Supersonic Top Coat and Miracle Treatment Base Coat, as flammable items can not be sent via the post without a special licence.

Please note, items purchased during a sale are not eligible for return.

First up, email us at hello@kesterblack.com within 30 days of placing your order so that we can determine where we went wrong and advise next steps.

Please note that for the return to be accepted you must contact us before sending the item(s), and returns cannot be accepted for products ordered using a discount code (unless consumer laws apply).

Once a return is received we will process a refund. We are not currently processing exchanges. Please also note that initial shipping fees will not be refunded.

We will require you to return the product and cover the cost of all postage (we always recommend Registered Post). You assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit and therefore we advise you insure your parcel. Kester Black will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.

Please note that nail polish products are not eligible for returns because they cannot be shipped back to us as they are considered 'Dangerous Goods'.

We’re a bit nit-picky when it comes to perfecting our products. So if for whatever reason you believe the product is not perfect, you will need to return it to us so that we can learn from the experience and make sure it doesn’t happen again for any future beauty-lovers.

Shipping protection is an optional service that ensures faster replacements for lost or stolen orders. With it, we’ll resend your order without waiting for a lengthy courier investigation.

If you prefer not to use shipping protection, simply uncheck the box in your shopping bag. Without it, we’ll work with the courier to resolve issues, but investigations may take a few weeks. Shipping protection is here to give you peace of mind and get your items to you sooner.

Shipping protection is valid for 30 days from the date your order is marked as delivered by the courier. If you experience any issues, please contact us at hello@kesterblack.com within this timeframe so we can assist you.
